Spring is in the air
Spring is in the air February 2017
This time of year is always so full of hope and promise. The weather is beginning to change for the better, the days are getting longer, flowers such as snow drops, crocuses and daffodils are beginning to poke their heads tentatively above ground and you know that spring is just around the corner.

Here at Thornham Deli, we love this time of year. It is just such a time of celebration. There is Valentines Day – and we have some fabulous gifts in the lifestyle shop that are just perfect to show the special someone in your life just how much you care. My own choice of gift would probably be something from the new pooch range – humorous and cute!

Mid-Winter at Thornham January 2017
Burns Night at Thornham Deli is all set to be a fantastic evening, with traditional Scottish fare prepared by the talented crew in the kitchen; a fabulous Ceilidh over in the Village Hall; and a friendly, lively and convivial atmosphere all evening. You just know that any event hosted by the team at Thornham Deli has that whole unique vibe to it and the 27th January will be no different.

But Burns Night is just one part of the fantastic time of year that is the Norfolk coast in mid-winter. There is something very special about our corner of the county at this time of the year. The coastline is atmospheric as the skies just seem to loom larger and slightly darker and the grasses on the dunes whisper their secrets as the wind whips through them.

Feel the Burn January 2017
Burns Night at Thornham Deli
It’s all about Scotland in the Deli this January as we join forces with Glebe House School to put on a fabulous Burns Night Party on 27 January.
Chef Gemma and her team have put together a fantastic Burns Night menu with a host of treats, including Scottish smoked salmon, Haggis, Scotch Broth, neeps and tatties and a Cranachan dessert.

Once you have finished eating, you will have the chance to don your dancing shoes, follow a Scottish piper across to the Village Hall and join in the After Party – an evening of Ceilidh dancing.
